Job Purpose:

The service training consultant will develop and deliver comprehensive training solutions, which involve proficiently using and maintaining training aids and lab equipment. The consultant will also collaborate with the project team lead to create instructor-led training (ILTs) and web-based training (WBTs) on relevant subjects based on the required area of expertise. Actively involved in promoting continuous improvement, optimizing resource utilization, and driving technological adoption, ensuring that training initiatives are consistently aligned with organizational goals and standards. Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in French and Arabic being an advantage.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proficient utilization of classroom and lab equipment:
    • Utilize classroom and lab equipment effectively to deliver engaging and practical training sessions.
    • Facilitate hands-on learning experiences that reinforce theoretical concepts.
  • Deliver assigned electric power product, Systems, and Component training.
  • Utilize and maintain training aids and equipment setup/installation:
    • Utilize the training aids and tools to simulate real-world environments for hands-on learning.
    • Actively participate to continuously improve the training setup to match industry advancements and learner needs.
  • Collaborate and consult with the project team lead in developing and upgrading electric power Products, Systems, and Components Courses.
  • Manage the personal development process by completing the course accreditation as per the area of expertise.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Training and Development
Training Operations
: Knowledge of training processes and procedures; ability to implement training related tasks and programs to ensure smooth daily and strategic training operations.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in technical training, power & Energy Products such as electric power, marine and engine and electronics systems, and Component training
  • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of Power & Energy Products, Systems,
    and Component training
  • Development skills: Proven ability to design and develop training materials,
    including the setup and installation of training aids and lab equipment.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French and Arabic is a
    strong advantage.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering complex technical content in an understandable and engaging way.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional project teams to develop training solutions

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in delivering technical training and developing/upgrading training
    materials.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles for both in-person and web-based
    training.
